Partners in Grain SA are the 2014 winner of the Ag Excellence Alliance Sustainability Award for a state wide or large farming system group in South Australia.

The award was presented to PinG SA Chair, Liz Moyle of Parilla by Mr Allan Holmes, CEO of the Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources.

The award recognised the work that PinG SA has done in promoting sustainable agricultural practices, working with the Ag Excellence Alliance and other farming systems groups.

PinG’s award application focussed on how it has worked with the Hart Field Day committee to have a women’s tent at the main Hart Field Day and to encourage more women to attend the day.

The Barossa Improved Grazing Group were the winners of the smaller regional farming systems group section.

The award is sponsored by the SA government Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources and both groups received $2,000.
